Oberthur Card Systems’ high speed protocol and high capacity card USIM: GIGAntIC™ developments in line with new USB standard protocol
Last November, the smart card committee of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute adopted a technology for a high-speed USIM card.
Oberthur Card Systems is happy that the industry agreed on High speed protocol - USB - giving at the same time a high level of value to the USIM. The company is proud to announce GIGAntIC product line developments are in line with USB standard for the benefit of operators and end-users.

Oberthur Card Systems was the first SIM vendor to offer an entire SIM controlled high capacity card. The adoption of the USB protocol is consistent with this approach and additionally benefits from the experience acquired through the launch of AngelICTM which combines a SIM card with a USB interface.
